As mentioned, there was no 94 M3 here in the states. There were 45 1994 Euro spec M3s in Canada for 1994, and then no M3 at all until 1997 for Canada. Since we don’t know where you are, we will have to assume. In the states, the 1995 3 liter was 240 HP, as was the 3.2 liter that came out in 96. The difference was the torque. 225 vs. 236. But the Euro engine was 286 HP for the Euro 3 liter, and 321 for the Euro 3.2 liter.
Since you are asking about a 94, you must be in Europe (or have one of the 45 in Canada), so it’s an S50 B30 3 liter 286 HP @7000 rpm 236 ft/lbs torque @3600 rpm. Compression ratio was 10.8:1 (US was 10.5:1). 0-60 was 6 seconds, 1/4 mile low 14s. It had 6 individual throttle bodies and double vanos, unlike the states which used a single butterfly and single vanos.
As said before, it’s not the best drag car. A stoplight race would be fun, but it’s definitely more at home on a large track, or even an autocross. I have autocrossed a US spec E36 M3, along with my E46, and the E36 is great. The E46 with the extra power and different suspension pushes too much through tight turns, but is still a blast.

The E36 era M3 was equipped with two engines, a 3.0 and a 3.2 liter inline 6. For U.S. models the engines generated 240 or 321 HP respectively. 0-60 times were 6.1. (5.5 Eurospec). Torque was 225 lb/f. For drag racing I’m not so sure. For circuit racing it is a formidable car. I am concerned tuning the car for 1/4 or 1/8 mile runs would be self-defeating in light of its natural performance as a sportscar. Have fun.

You must be Canadian or european, because they didn’t make a 1994 M3 in the United States . You would have the euro engine good for around 280-290 horsepower. and around 260 ft lb of torque . These aren’t drag cars by any means they are built to race in skilled driving race courses. They handle extremely good and only get better with some suspension upgrades . Compression I’m sure is very high, it’s a maxed out 3.0 liter , I believe it is 11.5 to 1 like the u.s s54 engine.

0-60 around 5.5 seconds and mid 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile.
    Great car and beautiful .
