BMW E39 M5 or BMW E46 M3?

I own a E46 M3. 70k miles. I can get a 2002 M5 with 49k miles. what do you suggest? please give supporting details and pros and cons on what car I should choose.

    This is an easy answer. Buy the car that fits your needs. If you need to seat 4 lovely ladies in your car and still outrun a Porsche 911, buy the M5. If you only let one chick in your car and have no need to seat more, buy the M3. If you have no seating preferance, buy the M5….V8 power, loads of torque, and a hare quicker. Plus lower mileage….thats worth it right there. Plus, how many M3s do you see around?? I see about 7 M3s for every M5 I see…so the M5 is much more rare. I like having nice things that not everyone has.

    ok buddy.
    here is the change.
    ur new car is going to ALOT more fun to drive. it has aalot more horse (almost 400) and alota torque./ and u will experience lower fuel efficiency. but if u ask me, its a good deal. one thing i can prmise u is that ur new ride is gonna be FUN!!!.
    BUT<<< after all these, the car will have about the same acceleraction and max speed due to weight defference. (but ur new car will have alot more torque along with better suspension, making it fun to drive)
    and i would go with the one with less miles.

    P.S.
    what a hard thing to decide.
    these 2 cars are pretty much the same.
    go for M5 though, thats my opinion

    Yea bro, I would stick with the M3. Its my dream car and their both going to be about the same performance bc the M5 is heavier and a sedan. You and I both know that the M3 kicks ass no matter where it goes. Hope that helps

    neither go for an audi rs or the alpina version of the bmw , faster,cheaper and rarer

    hey buddy this is coming out of a man who had 13 bmws before so trust me and buy the bmw m5 which makes a tremendus impact on ur life man
    just the noise of its engine just turns u on and inside of it,
    it has a chic magnent so they would dig u where ever u go

    Hands down the e39 m5. Better resale, more fun and wayyyy more practical.
