Can some please explain this BMW M3 interior pic to me please ?

here is a link to an M3 interior pic. i can clearly see that this is an automatic because of the Panel SMG gearbox so why does it have a clutch pedal

    An SMG is a MANUAL.

    SMG stands for Sequential Manual Gearbox. How on earth did you decide it was an automatic, when the name itself tells you that it’s not?

    that’s a good question…. maybe it was a manual originally, and had the SMG swapped in. To the first to answerers: the SMG does NOT have a clutch pedal, ever.

    Also lets be clear people this is from the new E92 so it’s not SMG it’s DCT or DKG if your German. Why it has a clutch pedal I don’t know. It might be photo shopped.

    SMGs never had any clutches. Here is some proof.

    good question..maybe it was swapped for an SMG (why on earth idk)

    and also, the SMG is NOT a manual (to all the idiots above me) its a manual gearbox with an automated clutch. not a shiftable auto

    there IS a difference

    but smgs do not have clutch pedals
