How can I get a Euro spec e36 M3 into the states?
Is there anyone selling them? If not, is it possible to import them or will our smog laws still not allow for it?

European spec vehicles are different from their US siblings in various aspects; You can see it clearly on older BMWs, where bumpers are a lot larger than on the European versions due to the 5mph impact regulations.
Also, the lighting is different. US Spec cars are generally required to have side markers which in Europe are largely unheard of.
Another thing are the gauges and such which are held in the metric system in Europe (excluding the UK but there they have right hand drive).
I’d recommend finding a US spec M3 and retrofit it with European parts for… whatever reason the US spec ones don’t do it. If the car is not built for the US, it can be very tricky to register it (the "Gates 959" Porsche is an example for that).

they have to be made legal, that can get expensive, if anything mod one here to do whatever you need it to do., thats better
