How much will it cost to fix this damage on a BMW M3?
I backed my car into my friends 2008 BMW m3, about 3mph there was no damage to my rear bumper but the front of his got a crack in the middle and on both sides the bumper came outwards and overlapped the top area where the bumper fits by about 1". So I am assuming it will need a new bumper, so about how much will this whole repair or replace cost?
Thank you

your looking about $1,200
the bumper 400 to 600
2h remove bumper
2hr install
2hr prep, and paint
and materials
well…. you have a couple options…
1. buy a bucket of bondo or fiber glass, and sand it out by hand (cheap!! $20.00)
2. Buy a used bumper if you can find one, call your local autoparts store and ask for a european dismantlers shop! used bumpers are cheaper than new! (probly $150.00 – $300.00 )
3. TRY E-BAY!! goto http://www.ebay.com and search for "2008 BMW BUMPER" of coarse you might be able to put a 2006 on it? and here is your friends chance to look for a body kit, they have a million of these here, why not add fog lights? ($200 – $300 + shipping, or you might be able to find one in japan for like $50 !!!! you never know!! )
4. Call the dealer or take it to a authorized service center ( $1000 )
5. you can goto a body shop and get an estimate for free, of coarse they are going to charge for parts and labor!!! ( $100 – $350, plus $80/hr. )
6. call your insurace company and tell them you hit his car before he reports you…!! ( $$$ Deductible Repair Cost!! )
these are practical resources for fixing the car… its up to you to decide!!!

Ouch man!!!!! If you cracked the bumper you are looking at ~$5-800 for a new bumper plus paint which is probably another 300. I would talk to your insurance on this fix.
If it looks like it is fixable you might be able to take the bumper off and replace the broken side mounts. Take a picture and post it up here and I could give you a better idea of what you can do.
If your friend wants to go with an aftermarket bumper here is your best bet. ddmtuning.com $360 plus shipping.

How can we know here on an internet board how much? I mean, maybe I can charge you for the work just based on a question if you okay with that.
Seriously, it has to be looked by a pro body place. You’re commited, an M3 isnt just any car you go off buy bondo and try to fix yourself with China made – Irvine sold parts. Keep it original, if you own one, expect the costs. I dont understand why people buy these rare great M cars then if they mess something which has a high rate of probability that it will be damaged, its a bumper, they want the easy, cheap way out. Pay to play or buy GM.
