Im looking to buy an M3?

I think I am going to buy an M3 my Dad had one and a friend of mine had the CSL version which was just out of this world. Im pretty sure I know where to look (Pistonheads and BMW main network) Can anyone give me an advice on what to look for what not to do and RUNNING COSTS (This is very important)

    You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – autoinsurance.maclenet.com

    Look for low mileage models, between 1998 and 2004 (depending on your budget), look for the 4 doors models (better deals). Running costs depends on your country, but still reasonable given the driving thrill you get: less than Porsche’s running costs, same driving pleasure. I guess 2500 US$ / year if the car is well maintained.
