The Nissan GT-R just beat the Porsche Turbo and BMW M3, how will this affect BMW and Porsche sales?

For half the money of a Porsche turbo, same price as the BMW M3, the GT-R is faster on track than a Bugatti Veyron and Porsche Turbo and GT3, probably GT2 too, with an acceleration time from 0-60 of 3.2 seconds (Faster than a Ferrari Enzo). How will this affect the competition if there is any?

I dont think it will effect the other companies ,the GTR has always been a challenge for the Porsche and the M3 in its try running power and this has never bothered them before.
Also owning a M3 and Porsche is more of a status symbol whilst the GTR has a different image and will appeal to different buyers .
Myself i would pick the GTR over any of the others.
As for the answer above about a bad Maxima etc a shame we had one and it was one of the best cars we ever had.Where on our 5th Nissan atm and i def want another one. next.

my parents stopped buying nissans period.
thatt company hass cheap carss let me rephrase that i meann the maxima we once owned left my papa stuck in a parking lot becuase it wouldnt start when it was four months old
then before that we heard NIssan x terras were doing flips off the free way so we sold that too
butt even iff a carr can accelarate fast enough it doesnt always mean the owners are actually going to speed up that fast and quickly just to stop at the next stop signn

So how many of the 1,400 GTR’s do you want? Limited production will keep these cars from affecting the Porsche and BMW who crank out 100,000 Carrera’s and M-3’s.
Not at all. Most guys aren’t buying these BMW or Porsche for speed. Its usually status or compensating for something else.
Women are attracted to money, and Nissan just doesn’t say "money" like a Porsche or BMW.
Edmunds says the 0-60 time is 3.5 seconds.
Anyways, I don’t think it will affect the sales of Porsche or BMW.
Porsche’s can run at high speeds for long amounts of time. They always win the endurance races. I think the Nissan would not be able to take it.
BMW M3 does not compete with the GT-R. It competes with the Audi RS4, Lexus IS-F, and Mercedes C63 AMG.

It is definitely an incredible car. I think that that Nissan’s move to keep the GT-R as a Nissan is a statement that they are strictly enthusiasts and that they are concerned with the tradition of the old GT-R’s image as an incredible performer. This means that they would rather have their cars owned by car enthusiasts rather than 55 year old men at a country club. This will affect competition but not much sales. And actually C7S, Edmunds says 3.3 seconds to be exact…or have you not watched the test video?
