The battery is in the right trunk. Your owner’s manual shoulda told you that.
Can’t help you with a price without knowing:
    - how many miles- single owner, multiple owners?
    - Maintenance history.
    - What do you define as "good"? KBB defines it as new or relatively new interior, no dings, dents. Original paint with no fades.
Never been in a major accident.
    - You will never get your money back with customization, ESPECIALLY on a trade in.

The 1995 M3 BMW was the first of the E-36 chassis styles. The battery should be in the trunk. Most of the Five Series BMWs have the battery located under the rear seat. Battery specs for the E-36 are something like 12 Volt, 650 Amperes at zero degrees F. I think the battery is listed in GROUP 49 which defines the dimensional Length, Width, and Height. Sometimes you can get a smaller battery to fit, but you won’t have the 650 AMP rating. The value of your car will depend on condition, mileage, and appearance. Look in a Kelly Bluebook for wholesale and retail value.
