which bmw e46 (330ci vs m3) would you buy?
Given the choice between:
2006 BMW 330ci (ZHP - performance package) coupe with 35k miles, manual, sparkling graphite, warranty until Feb 2010, for about k-,500
2003 BMW M3 coupe with 68k miles, SMG, carbon black, no warranty, for about k
Both in excellent condition. 330 is from a dealer, m3 is private party.
any suggestions or info is welcome.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.imess.net
go for the 330ci…A BMW without a warranty is a scary car to own!
The 330ci will be easier on gas, and much cheaper to insure.
The M3 is by far and away a superior vehicle to the 330 ci. The 330ci has no performance it is weak. The 330ci has 225hp compared to the M3’s 333hp.. My only hesitation in buying the M3 is that it has no warranty. I do not suggest buying any luxury car not covered by a warranty because they are expensive and difficult to repair.

I would go for the 06 bmw 330ci because you have the peace of mind that you have a warranty until 2010 plus you also have the performance package and a lot less mileage and the bmw cars are bulletproof..
Depending on the service history, I wouldn’t count the M3 out. If it’s been taken care of, they’re great cars. I had an ‘04 E46 convertible that I never had any issues with. You can always buy an extended warranty for the M3….
